Cirque De La Lune (Circus of the Moon) was a cirque-themed fundraiser for a private community school in Baltimore City. My company, Nfinite Productions, was hired to organize the event. I came up with the theme and began research to find the perfect venue, decorator, caterer, and unique entertainment. Our mission was to make this a fun-filled event that was unlike any typical fund-raising banquet.
The event began with a beautiful outdoor reception where guests were greeted by our masked hosts and hostesses. Guests were then served fruit infused water on the patio overlooking a beautifully landscaped golf course. A costumed stilt walker juggled and entertained during the reception. Once inside, guests were escorted to their tables which were elegantly decorated with royal purple and gold feathered centerpieces and linens. Our special guest host, radio personality, Marc Clark made a grand entrance with African drummers! Other entertainment included singer/storyteller Nataska Hummingbird, comedian Larry Lancaster, and a Polynesian fire dancer! We even included real footage of Cirque du Soliel performances on an overhead projector between live acts.
The event was a great success and our client was very pleased!
